L’YDP-S36 è dotato di tasti Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) che offrono un tocco naturale in tutti i registri, dai bassi ricchi e pesanti agli acuti brillanti e cristallini. Il pedale di risonanza (damper) è dotato della funzione di mezzo pedale, che consente di sostenere i suoni per la durata desiderata controllando la profondità del pedale per un’espressione più complessa. I pianoforti ARIUS sono dotati di una Voice creata campionando il CFX, il pianoforte a coda da concerto di punta di Yamaha. La Voice CFX offre un suono ricco di sfumature in tutti i registri e un’ampia espressività per catturare ogni emozione. La nuova griglia di diffusione rende le note acute più nitide anche a distanza. Il suono ben bilanciato in tutti i registri crea un campo sonoro piacevole sia per i musicisti che per gli ascoltatori. I pianoforti ARIUS sono dotati della tecnologia Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM Lite), che simula in modo minuzioso la complessa risonanza delle corde di un pianoforte a coda. I tasti e i pedali possono essere usati in combinazione per ottenere una varietà di sonorità.
