Short-scale basses may have become a bit outdated, but if you love the sounds of the 60s, you'll have a hard job getting around avoiding them.
For the Epiphone Viola Bass, the name comes from its violin-like body shape, and its prototype, the legendary Höfner violin bass, is now commonly referred to as the "Beatles Bass". For Beatles and other 60s sounds this is an absolutely compulsory addition to have!
